 Penny Warner He said… She said…Bring your story to life through dynamic dialogue. In this presentation, we’ll “talk” about the purpose of dialogue in fiction, how to differentiate between speakers, what “not” to say, dealing with slang and dialect, and how to make your characters sound like real people. Penny Warner is the author of over 80 books, fiction and non-fiction, for adults and children. Her adult mystery series won the Macavity Award for best first mystery; her children’s mystery series, THE CODE BUSTERS CLUB, won three Agatha awards for Best Juvenile Mystery; and her non-fiction book, THE OFFICIAL NANCY DREW HANDBOOK, was nominated for an Agatha Award. Her books have been published in over two dozen languages and optioned for film and TV. |
