The Art of the Interview—How to Succeed at Interviews Without Really Lying
Free Monthly Meeting, 1-hour Zoom presentation
(includes Q&A)
Saturday, April 16, 2022
Presentation 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Sign-in and social time 12:30-1:00
with Ed Goldman
Syndicated columnist, author of five books, professionally produced playwright,
composer and lyricist, visual artist
In nearly 52 years as a professional writer, Ed has interviewed senators, governors, captains of industry, lawyers, film stars and (literally) ditch diggers. They all have one thing in common: they want to yell you their stories. Here’s how to encourage them to do so—and then, how to write about it.
You will learn:
- How to put interviewees at ease (and where)
- How to make the most of your and their time
- How to separate the wheat from the chaff—i.e., the truth from the hype
- How to prepare
- How to follow up
