Third Week in October
In response to a campaign spearheaded by the California Writers Club in 2003, the California State Assembly declared the third week in October as California Writers Week.
CWC branches observe this annual event with programs and exhibits throughout their communities, such as the East Sierra Branch’s display at the Kern County Ridgecrest Branch Library all month, while the High Desert Branch will herald CWW through its participation in Hesperia’s High Desert Book Festival, Saturday, October 12.
