SUMMARY:Inland Empire (In-Person): Member Open Mic
DESCRIPTION:Member Open Mic\nBoth our July 23rd and August 27th branch meetings will be Open Mic opportunities for our members. The July 23rd meeting will be at the Ovitt Family Library in Ontario and the August 27th meeting will be at the Arlington Branch Library in Riverside. This will give members the opportunity to participate in person at a facility nearest to where they live. We are planning to stream the Open Mic sessions. \nIf you would like to read at the July or August Open Mic we are planning on limiting the initial time to 10-minutes per reader\, which is\, on average\, approximately 1\,200 to 1\,500 words of prose and a bit less for poetry – depending upon phrasing and enjambments. If you would like to participate in the Open Mic please email Sam Nichols your name\, a title\, genre (prose or poetry)\, and the approximate word count. You may ask for a larger time slice (say 15-minutes) and\, if available\, it may be allocated to you. \n
