Student winners from the literary nonfiction\, poetry\, and short story fiction categories will receive their awards and share their work via readings. \n \nPleasanton’s Teen Poet Laureate and Amador High School senior \n\nAnnual High School Writing Contest Awards Ceremony\, May 21\, 2022\n\n\nJoin us Saturday\, May 21\, 2022\, at 2:00 p.m. as Tri-Valley Writers hosts its 11th Annual High School Writing Contest awards ceremony. Student winners from the literary nonfiction\, poetry\, and short story fiction categories will receive their awards and share their work via readings. \n \nPleasanton’s Teen Poet Laureate and Amador High School senior Nikita Jayaprakash will be the keynote speaker. She will provide inspiration to the young writers who’ve participated in our “My Story\, My Vision” high school writing contest as she discusses what it’s like to be a young\, writer\, especially a poet. \nCome hear Nikita and support Tri-Valley Writers encouragement of young writers continuing the literary word. \nThis meeting will be an in-person only meeting at the Four Points by Sheraton at 5115 Hopyard Rd. in Pleasanton. The meeting will be free to members and guests\, but reservations are required. RSVP to reservations@trivalleywriters.org
