CWC Literary Review
Submission Guidelines
CWC members are invited to submit their published or unpublished work following the guidelines below.
Submissions will be blind-read by a selection board and graded by each editor. Work not meeting an established threshold of quality will be rejected with a note as to reasons. No editing will be performed.
While satire and parody are welcome, proselytizing, political rants and libelous or potentially libelous material will be rejected. Pornographic forays, and/or gratuitous vulgarity and obscenity are not appropriate for this publication.
Selected work will be published on a space-available basis in an upcoming issue.
The author retains all rights, other than one-time publication rights, which the author grants to the CWC. Literary Review.

Submission Guidelines
Categories:
§ Fiction and nonfiction of 2500 words or less. No serialized or partial work; excerpts only if the “story” is judged complete as submitted
§ Poetry of 50 lines or fewer
§ Photography and graphics related or unrelated to a story, through prior agreement with the managing editors.
General:
§ The author must be a CWC member.
§ The submission must be the exclusive work of the member or members.
§ A maximum of two submissions per member, each in a separate file, will be accepted in the process at any one time. As each or both are accepted or rejected, an additional submission or submissions may be sent. Notices of receipt, acceptance, or rejection will be sent to the author.
§ The author must have the rights to convey to the CWC Literary Review for its one-time use. Submission emails must include branch affiliation and the following statement: “I, (name) own and convey the right to publish this/these work(s) (Title/s of work here) for a one time publication in the CWC Literary Review”
§ Must be submitted approximately eight weeks before publication date – for the first issue, April 15 2011. Each subsequent issue will specify a deadline for the next.
§ Work must be sent as email attachment(s); refer to “Format” below. Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted or returned.
Preparing Your Submission:
§ Include a cover sheet with name of piece, name of author, author’s email address, author’s branch affiliation, and word count in the center of the page.
§ Pages shall be numbered sequentially, bottom center.
§ Each page will contain the title of the work in the top right corner. No other identifying information shall be included.
§ Work with excessive typos or grammatical errors will be rejected.
Format
§ MSWord: doc or rtf format – doc preferred (other formats, including docx, will be rejected)
§ Left justified, one and one-half line spacing, New Times Roman 12 pt font
§ One-inch margins around. Poetry may be centered
